The UK-based Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA) has appointed a new Managing Director.
Moving from his previous role as CEO of the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self Employed (IPSE), Chris Bryce joins the organization with a record of excellence, growth, cultural change and influence in a range of complex and not-for-profit businesses.
Bryce’s 25 years of experience in the freelance and contract industry has seen him campaign for the betterment of the entire profession, which he hopes will align with the overarching goals of the FCSA to raise standards and promote supply chain compliance for the temporary labor market.
He succeeds outgoing CEO Phil Pluck.
Bryce said, “I am delighted to join the FCSA as the new CEO. My overall goal will be to ensure that all parts of the supply chain, especially the subcontractors served by members of the organization, can expect the highest levels of compliance, transparency and reliability of the from accredited FCSA members.
In his new role, Bryce will work closely with members of the FCSA, who provide executive employment services, Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) / independent contractor provider, limited liability company advisory services and business support solutions for occasional workers. At the time of writing, the FCSA has 113 accredited member companies that collectively represent more than 182,000 professional entrepreneurs.
During his tenure as CEO of IPSE, Bryce also served as chair of the European Forum of Independent Professionals, a collaboration of national associations from across Europe that represents independent professionals at EU level through through targeted research and advocacy.
